Learn how to craft, empower and enact positive interactions, by becoming a professional agent of change.

This is a nationally recognised training course that teaches the concepts of colour and design and their application in the contemporary design world. Taught by passionate tertiary and industry trained professionals, this course provides you with extensive colour knowledge, effective design skills and creative confidence, preparing you for our specialised Diplomas. The design course is a pathway to an exciting career in colour and design to begin working in your own small business or as a sole practitioner or consultant freelancer.

The course blends the principles and elements of design with individual creativity and problem solving skills to conceptualise and implement design solutions.

This course provides a sound foundation and education for students who aspire to join such industries as: interior design and styling, colour design and consulting, landscape and garden design, visual art, graphic design, fashion design, theatre and exhibition.

Hunter Design School offers students further studies in a diploma of Colour Planning and Consulting and a Diploma of Interior Styling and Design.

Entry Requirements

No previous experience or studies in the design field are necessary to apply; all you need is a desire to create and innovate.


Course Duration – 12 Months

Starting Tuesday 6th of February 2018

12 months, Tuesday 10am-1pm.

The course is mixed mode delivery of 90 hours of face-to-face learning over 30 weeks, plus additional self-directed study of 20 hours per week.


Assessments

Students will be assessed throughout the course on a combination of both research assignments and practical projects.
